James is an associate practicing in the Business and Health Care Law Sections. He was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2010.

AREAS OF CONCENTRATION

Taxation

James serves as tax counsel for the firm in all phases of income tax, including oil and gas tax, partnership taxation, corporate tax, and all other areas except estate and gift tax.

Business Entity Formation and Transactions

James' general business practice includes representing clients in connection with the formation of business entities, purchases and sales of businesses, mergers and reorganizations, lending, and various other contractual arrangements.

Health Care Law Compliance

James advises on and structures transactions related to physician leases and agreements, hospital business ventures, regulatory fraud and abuse, compliance and non-profit and governmental entities issues.  James provides legal guidance to corporate compliance officers in both the hospital and physician practice settings.
