Mr. Baker practices in the firm’s Litigation Section. He was licensed to practice in Texas in 2008 and in New Mexico in 2009. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western District of Texas and the District of New Mexico, and he is admitted to practice before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
AREAS OF CONCENTRATION
Mr. Baker assists clients in cases involving Business disputes, including Contract disputes, Oil and Gas disputes, Property damage, and Personal Injury. In addition, Mr. Baker assists senior litigation attorneys with research, the drafting of pleadings and discovery, and the daily handling of matters involving a variety of complex oil and gas litigation matters, debt collections, contract disputes, and a variety of other civil matters.
Prior to joining Cotton Bledsoe, Mr. Baker practiced at another local law firm where he focused on complex oil and gas litigation and contract litigation.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Mr. Baker is a member of the Midland County Bar Association and the Midland Young Lawyers Association.
During law school, Mr. Baker was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review, received recognition for his legal writing, and became a member of Phi Delta Phi (legal honors society).
