Stephanie is a shareholder in the Firm's Litigation Section. She joined the Firm in 2012. Licensed in Texas, she is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Stephanie is an active member of the Midland community, volunteering for church and other charitable activities, and speaking at a variety of continuing legal education events. Stephanie has also served as an adjunct professor at Midland College.

Stephanie is a member of the Litigation Section and the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.


Commercial Litigation

Stephanie began her career with the Firm by defending the insureds of national insurance companies against both property damage and personal injury claims. Although she currently retains a defense docket with respect to property damage and premises liability claims, Stephanie devotes much of her litigation practice to commercial matters, including: contractual disputes; fraud and misrepresentation; governmental defense; breach of fiduciary duty; labor and employment disputes, including noncompetition and independent contractor issues; and debt collections.

Oil and Gas Litigation

Stephanie has successfully represented clients in oil and gas matters involving: lease interpretation and lease termination disputes; joint operating agreements; royalty payment disputes; purchase and sale agreements; adverse possession; title disputes; environmental remediation; drilling contracts; well service contracts; audit rights; gas purchase agreements; geophysical exploration agreements; and independent contractor agreements.

Federal and State Appeals

Stephanie has briefed both state and federal appeals regarding claims of breaches of fiduciary duty, fraud, and self-dealing in the context of Estates and Trusts litigation. She has also successfully argued before the Eleventh Court of Appeals of Texas.

  • Stephanie is an active member of the Midland County Bar Association and the Midland Young Lawyers Association. Stephanie is also an active member of her church, coordinates “Secret Santas” for a local women’s shelter, and is an avid supporter of Midland Christian School, where her husband, Jared, serves as Academic Dean.
